This may or may not actually be the case, but regardless many men out there tend to buy cars with the express purpose of attracting a little lady lovin’ into their lives. I harbour reservations about whether having a smart car will actually do anything at all for the prospect of romance – but of all the cars in the world, these 10 are probably some of the most popular cars for this purpose.

The Petrolheads would claim this is for the engine, but when I asked around the office this was the first car that almost everyone came up with for impressing girls. Apparently, and I quote, “girls love anything by Porsche”. The sexy interior probably helps too, plus the fact that everyone knows they are expensive.

The traditional choice, Ferraris are all too often the midlife crisis car for high earning men. As such, it is fair enough to assume that a lot of the time there is an element of attracting nubile young women involved in choosing it. You see, an absurdly expensive yacht is a really status symbol, and I think a lot of girls do tend to respond to the offer to sail around the Seychelles for a week of sun, sex and good food, or even just a one night stand in the Marina.
